March 31, 2013
With the colder than normal weather, we are off to a slow start to the 2013 fishing season. But even with that, folks fishing the southern half of the island have found puppy drum in afternoon using bait or lures, a few smaller bluefish and in the past week some puffer and a few large red drum. If we can just get a break and have some nice SW wind and some warmer weather we should see plenty of bites.
I have posted the last few days of fishing the beach above. We are in the process of competely changing the site yet again due to technology- we want to do away with the flash show that the mobile units can not see and go to the html format. Thanks for bearing with us during the change as it is just me and Alan in the shop and making these changes long after others are in bed. Please feel free to check us out on our Facebook page- Tradewinds Tackle or Twitter in the lower left corner of this web page as we can download those pictures directly from the beach during the change.
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend - and have fun fishing!
