Wednesday, February 1, 2012 Fishing Rate >>

It has been incredible on the island this week with temperatures in the mid 60s and sunny, with light winds. Hard to believe it is winter when it feels like spring. Even though the weather is fabulous- the fishing along the beach just is not there. We just have no idea where they are hanging out for the winter. Offshore, the Drumstick went out yesterday and caught a couple of nice wahoo and triggers. We also heard about blackfin tuna over the past few weeks.

We have been working on painting the floors in the shop and hope to have our online store up and running in the next few weeks. Who knew how much work went in the back end of an online store? You will be able to connect from this website directly to the online store.

We would like to say congratulations to all our Tradewinds Tackle 2011 derby winners posted above. Look for your gift certificates and wall hangings this coming week in the mail. Thanks so much for bringing in your catch and sharing the photos!
