FISHING REPORT ARCHIVERating System:Good fishing: Not so good fishing: Current Fishing Report It has been HOT, sunny, with light winds on Ocracoke today. The fishing report from the beach has slowed yesterday and today with fewer reports, but we still have some Spanish and bluefish in the morning on lures and later in the afternoon, small flounder, croaker and spot scattered along the beach. Matt Pitman of Marshallberg, NC shared his photo from Tuesday of a nice Spanish on South Point. Lanier Rice of Mebane, NC shared his photo of a bluefish he caught Tuesday. Anthony Dickinson of Maple, NC shared his photo of a nice 25.5” Spanish that he caught on his first trip to the island. Bubba Gregory of Woodleaf, NC caught a nice flounder at the North end of the island on Sunday. David Hipp of Salisbury, NC caught a 46” red drum in the Ocracoke/Hatteras inlet Sunday and shared his photo. Bob Alberts of Maine and Earl Baldwin of Bourne, MA went out on a charter with Capt Norman Miller of the “Rascal” on Friday. They shared some of the photos of nine red drum tagged and released on Friday, the smallest at 33” up to 45". Have fun fishing! Melinda Rating: |
