Current Fishing Report













After yesterday’s thunderstorms, today was sunny and warm until an afternoon rain shower. We had reports of some flounder, Spanish mackerel in the AM at South Point, a few pompano, sea mullets, spot, croakers, and a couple of black drum scattered on the beach.
Rick Mayes of Roanoke, VA caught and released a red drum outside the slot limit on Monday on a lure. WE did not get his great photo up until now and I am sorry about the oversight. Five year old Evan Dauksys of Mineral, VA had a nice black drum today and came by the shop. Michelle Dager of Townsend, DE had a great 1 lb 8 oz sea mullet today and shared her photo. Jeff Kendle and Ben Dabney of Chesapeake, VA caught Spanish mackerel on South point this AM on pink and white lures. Hunter Moncus of State Road, NC came by with his flounder today. Donna Stallings of Mechanicsville, VA caught a nice pompano today. Don Holliday of Salem, VA shared his photo of a 24” puppy drum from yesterday. Kevin Campbell l of Grottoes, VA caught and released a spinner shark on Tuesday afternoon. Meredith Cavenaugh of Winston Salem, NC came by with her 27” puppy drum from Tuesday afternoon. Tad Hendershot and Shelly of Greencastle, PA each caught puppy drum on Monday and shared their photos with us. Bill O’Hop shared his photos of his puppy drum and Doobie’s 30” red drum from Monday.
Inshore reports include bluefish, Spanish, some flounder, a couple puppy drum, and a few triggerfish. Offshore reports include amberjack and some triggerfish.
