Current Fishing Report

We have some light rain moving in this evening, but those that were out earluer in the day found puppy drum, a few pompano, sea mullets, bluefish and spanish mackerel at the inlet.
Michael Kader of Victor, NY shared another photo from this morning of a 25" puppy drum. David Waters of Charlottesville, VA had a 19.5" puppy drum. Patrick Clark of Sims, NC caught a 2 lb 12 oz flounder yesterday morning and takes over as the kids derby leader. His brother, Andrew Clark also caught a nice flounder just a little smaller in size. Matt Davis of Charlotte, NC had a 1 lb 12 oz pompano. Tammy Martin of Powhatan, VA shared her photo of a 15" flounder. David Elliott of Midlothian, VA shared his photo of a his 21" puppy drum yesterday. Caroline Avery of Woodstock, GA caught a 26.5" puppy drum on the "Fish Tale" charter yesterday. Jason Daniels of Ocracoke, NC went out inshore yesterday afternoon and caught a very nice 3 lb 8 oz spanish mackerel. Dave Melvin of Staunton, VA caught speckled and gray trout. Alec Chatham and Jack of Greenville, NC came by with their 14 lb king mackerel and become our new derby leader.
Inshore reports include spanish, bluefish, flounder, and puppy drum. Offshore reports include dolphin, king mackerel, and triggerfish.
