Current Fishing Report

The past couple of days have been beautiful here on Ocracoke,with light North winds and warm sun. Folks that were fishing found sea mullets, bluefish, some black drum, small and keeper sized flounder, and a few scattered puppy drum.
Roc Carter of Olivia, NC becomes our new black drum leader for his 4 lb 3 oz fish caught on the beach yesterday afternoon. Lenny Simpson of Asheboro, NC took us up on the derby opening and becomes our first derby leader with his 7.2 oz fish. Meredith Cavenaugh of Ocracoke, NC becomes our kids derby leader for her 1 lb 9 oz sea mullet. DC and Roc Carter of Olivia, NC came by with a couple of barracuda they caught offshore.
Inshore reports include scattered puppy drum, flounder, sea mullets, bluefish, and some black drum.
Offshore reports include dolphin, a couple of kings, and triggerfish.
