Current Fishing Report

After our tragic events at Ocracoke this weekend, we really did not have many folks out fishing. Those that were out on the beach found scattered spanish mackerel, bluefish on lures and bait, flounder,some pompano, and an occaisonal puppy drum.
Sara and Brian Warren of Ocracoke, NC came by the shop with a couple of nice pompano on Saturday. Pam Easter of Huddleston, VA shared her photo of a double up of sheepshead and puppy drum from Saturday. Kevin Eads of NC State University and James Lastra of UNC Wilmington shared some photos of their trip on the "Rascal" charter Friday. They caught red snapper, triggerfish and amberjack.
Inshore reports from the weekend include spanish mackerel, scattered puppy drum, flounder, spadefish, and some black drum. Offshore reports include dolphin, scattered tuna, and wahoo.
