Current Fishing Report

Alan Morris of Weddington, NC came by with a nice 26" puppy drum caught at the airport ramp on Gulp bait this morning. Zane Walker of Asheboro, NC also found a nice 26.5" puppy drum this morning but at the North end of the island. Matt Armour of Elkton, MD found spanish mackerel yesterday and came by the shop. Karl Uotinen of Daleville, VA becomes our derby leader for his 2 lb 11 oz flounder caught while kayaking on the soundside. He also found a nice 26.5" puppy drum. Chris Franks of Winterville, NC caught a nice sea mullet Saturday and came by the shop for a photo. Phyllis Woody of Valdese, NC caught a 20 lb cobia while fishing inshore Saturday and came by the shop.
Inshore fishing reports include plenty of spanish mackerel, flounder, scattered puppy drum, and a couple of smaller cobia.
Offshore reports include dolphin, wahoo, kings, and a few tuna.
