FISHING REPORT ARCHIVERating System:Good fishing: Not so good fishing: Current Fishing Report Another hot, humid, and very sunny day on Ocracoke today. Those fishing early and later in the day found nice catches of flounder, some black drum, a few scattered pompano, sea mullets, bluefish, a large red drum, and croakers. Kyle Lavery of Holland, PA went out fishing with some shrimp and found this nice 4 pound 12 oz black drum. Maggie Keaney of Monroe, MI becomes our kid's derby leader for her 2 lb 4 oz flounder caught using Gulp bait. She outfished dad who did not find the keepers. Alan Bunting of Asheboro, NC had a nice pompano and came by the shop. Loretta Stokes and Jeff Gross of Ocracoke fished inshore Friday and found a couple of nice keeper flounder and shared the photos with us. James and Peter Lee of Sperryville, VA went out fishing on the "Miss Teresa" catching spanish mackerel and hogfish inshore yesterday morning. Nancy Russell of Marietta, OH also stayed inshore and found a nice 27 pound cobia. Carson Herndon and his dad went offshore Friday and found a cobia and dolphin. Thanks for the photos!
