With the surf still stirred up yesterday, some folks were not heading out to fish. But after the rain showers pasted through this morning, folks are heading back out. Those that fished yesterday found large bluefish, small and keeper sized flounder, a couple of puppy drum, and a few sea mullet.
Lee Martin of Midlothian, VA had a nice bluefish yesterday and shared his photo. Bryce Cooper of Thomasville, NC came by with his 2 lb 2.5 oz flounder yesterday afternoon and becomes our new flounder derby leader. Eric Dao of Waxhaw, NC shared his photo of a couple of bluefish yesterday. Tom Gozion of Mars, PA shared his photos of a bluefish and a small flounder with us. Wyatt Dinken of Denver, NC had a 7.5 lb bluefish Thursday afternoon. Randy Barrow of Ocracoke caught his limit of the large bluefish and came by for a photo. Chris and Casey Cram of Caroga Lake, NY and Nelliston, NY also shared photos of their some of their bluefish yesterday.
Inshore reports include black drum, croakers, and a few gray trout. Cobia were found at the sea buoy.Offshore reports include large dolphin and yellowfin tuna.
