FISHING REPORT ARCHIVERating System:Good fishing: Not so good fishing: Current Fishing Report Winds died down today to almost calm and with the pretty sunny skies, folks went out on the beach fishing. We had reports of lots of large bluefish, some smaller blues, a few puppy drum, a couple of sea mullets, and some flounder. Gil Williams and George Ortman of Ocracoke, NC spent a nice morning on the beach catching large bluefish. Scott and Donna Splon of Chicago, IL came with a couple of nice blues they caught this afternoon. Dylan and Daymon Esham of Ocracoke's Pony Island Motel came by with mom and dad after a day on the beach with their bluefish this afternoon. Rick "Fish-OINC" Starr of Washington, VA stopped by with his bluefish this afternoon. Rob Sadoff of Charlotte, NC had a nice blue today and came by for his photo. Scott and Benton Morris of Nashville, NC posed with their blues they caught this AM before heading back home. John Johnson of Suffolk, VA had a 8.5 lb bluefish this morning and stopped by the shop. Randy Barrow of Ocracoke, NC had a 8 lb blue this morning. Clyde Cooper of High Point, NC almost broke our derby leader with his 11 lb 4 oz blue this AM. Jacob Gish of Montvale, VA had a great bluefish on the beach and shared his photo with us. Todd and Amanda Merrill of Ogdensburg, NY shared some photos from the beach of their catches yesterday before heading out today. Gene Brown of Kings Mountain, NC had a couple of bluefish and came by the shop. Tim and Erica Rowland of Belmont, NC also posed with a couple of bluefish they caught yesterday. Mark "12 Rods" Austin of Charlotte, NC and Shawn Queen of Kings Mountain, NC shared their photo of a couple of bluefish from yesterday.
