Those fishing yesterday and today found plenty of bluefish on lures and cut bait, some sea mullets, several spanish mackerel in the inlet on lures in the AM and early PM, and a couple of slot limit red drum scattered down the beach.
Larry Toney of Nashville, NC shared a nice photo of one of his bluefish. Eugene Bridges of Raleigh, NC also had another nice bluefish photo to share. Robert Musgrove of Oxford, NC had a 7.5 lb bluefish on bunker yesterday and shared his photo. "Young Fisherman" of Charlotte, NC shared his photo of a nice bluefish last night. "12 Rods" also of Charlotte, NC had a couple of nice bluefish photos to share as well.
Neal Efird of York, SC, Randy Burris of Mt Pleasant, NC, Harvey Morris of Concord, NC, and Jack Barringer of Gold Hill, NC all found bluefish and posed for their photo. Kenny Tallant of Asheboro, NC shared another bluefish with us and becomes our new bluefish derby leader for his 10 lb 6 oz bluefish.
