FISHING REPORT ARCHIVERating System:Good fishing: Not so good fishing: Current Fishing Report Those out fishing yesterday during the daytime reported catches of small bluefish, small flounder, several sea mullets, slot limit puppy drum scattered up and down the beach, and numerous rays. Those fishing in the evening up to nightfall reported catches of sea mullets, larger bluefish, and large red drum. Greg O'Connell of Mays Landing, NJ shared his photo of a nice 47" red drum from last night. John O'Connell of Vineland, NJ had 47.5" red drum also last night. Kevin Price of Long Beach Township,NJ had a 46" red drum and shared his photo from last night. Don and Loutricia Redding of Roaring River, NC started their day off a little rocky but found a nice sea mullet to put Loutricia as our derby leader. Don found a nice 35" red drum using shrimp. Randy Barrow of Ocracoke, NC becomes our new derby leader for his 9 pound 4 oz bluefish yesterday. Rick Rowe of Massnutten, VA caught a 46" and 48" red drum last night and shared his photo with us. Tyree Lee of Lynchburg, VA had a nice 48" red drum last night and shared his photo. Sam and Tony Ensogna of Winchester, VA were nice enough to email their photos to us from Sunday evening. Sam managed to catch the first 3 large red drum in 90 minutes. Tony caught his 47" drum a little later in the evening. Capt Norman Miller of "Rascal" reported numerous large red drum in the inlet that he was able yo sightcast to yesterday. Capt Farris O'Neal of "Drumstick" went out yesterday and caught yellowfin tuna and dolphin. Thanks so much for the photos- and have fun fishing! Melinda Rating: |
