Current Fishing Report

Today and yesterday have been beautiful here on the island. The weather has been sunny, mid 70s, light SW winds, with water temps hanging around 67 degrees at the airport ramp.
Those out fishing have reported yesterday scattered catches of sea mullets and smaller bluefish-2-3 pounds, small flounder, a few slot limit puppy drum, several large red drum in the early evening, and numerous cow nose rays.
Tyree Lee of Lynchburg, VA caught a 32" striped bass yesterday and becomes our derby leader. Capt Ernie Doshier of "DrumRunner" shared his photos of his charter yesterday evening inshore. Anthony Reeder of Greensboro, NC 'finally' got a 33" red drum. Robbie Greear of Greensboro, NC also had a nice 33" red drum. Daniel Sumrall also of Greensboro, NC had a 34" red drum. They caught several fish each while out. Brenda Harris, Gary and Albert Lamtrip, all of Yakima, WA went out on Friday with Capt Farris O'Neal of "Drumstick" and caught yellowfin tuna. They were nice enough to share the photos. I need ask Gary to resend me his as the computer crashed without saving the photo for me.
Thanks for the pictures- and have fun fishing!
Melinda
