FISHING REPORT ARCHIVERating System:Good fishing: Not so good fishing: Current Fishing Report With winds blowing out of the West today 10-20 mph it is tough to fish out on the beach. Folks are reporting catches of sea mullet, bluefish-mostly 2-3 pound size, scattered black drum, a few slot limit puppy drum, and several dogsharks. We did have a couple noteworthy fish today and yesterday. Dale Ashby of Parsons, WV becomes our bluefish derby leader for his 33" fish this morning. Scott Hilliard of Luray, VA had an impressive 3 lb 12 oz pompano yesterday afternoon on shrimp while fishing toward the south end of the island.He becomes our pompano derby leader. Andrew Nguyen of South San Francisco, CA shared his photo of a shark he caught. Gary Lamtrip of Yakima, WA also shared a photo of a sea mullet he caught the other day. Austin Trent of Roanoke, VA shared his photo of a bluefish he caught. Max Smith also of Roanoke, VA had a shark on Saturday and shared his photo with us. Thanks for the photos. Have fun fishing!
