Current Fishing Report

With the winds blowing out of the SW the past day we have had more reports of slot limit red drum on cut and artifical bait, black drum on shrimp in the breakers, and bluefish on bait and lures. The winds are continuing from the SW which is warming our surf temps but we are seeing some clouds blowing up this afternoon and we are expecting showers this evening and tomorrow.
Rick Handy of Roanoke, VA caught a nice 26.5" puppy drum on cut bait yesterday and a sea robin and shared his photo with us. Jimmy Boggs also of Roanoke, VA had a 25" puppy drum and shared his photo with us. Nancy VonOhlsen of Roanoke,VA shared her photo of a bluefish. Alan Morris of Weddington, NC shared his puppy drum photos from yesterday caught on Gulp!and a nice black drum photo from Thursday. Chuck Hendricks of Chesapeake, VA had a nice 3# black drum yesterday. Lynn Thaxton of La Grange, NC also shared her black drum photo from Wednesday when the winds were still stirring the surf.
Revaey Colvin and Jake Early of Raleigh, NC went out with Capt Ernie Doshier of "DrumRunner" yesterday and found red drum. Thanks for sharing the photos!
