Current Fishing Report

With a pretty impressive band of thunderstorms coming through this morning, most folks did not get out on the beach until later in the day. With the weather clearing, plenty of people were out on the beach. Those fishing reported catches of sea mullet, scattered bluefish on lures and bait, a few puppy drum, and black drum.
Jody Lang of Wilmington, NC shared his photos of a nice 34" and 27" red drum he caught yesterday. Chris Malone of Hebron, MD and William Goslee of Sharptown, MD had nice catches of red and black drum on bunker and shrimp. William becomes our kids derby leader for his 2 pound 4 oz black drum. Lyndon Friend of Locust Grove, VA had a 25" puppy drum yesterday evening and shared his photo with us. Hunter Selby of Bishopville, MD caught his first fish today- a nice puffer. Summer Selby also of Bishopville, MD becomes our kids derby leader for her 12 oz sea mullet today. Jeff Myers of Graham, NC shared his photo of a nice 32" red drum that he caught while fishing solo on Thursday before heading home.
Thanks again so much for the photos and have fun fishing!
Melinda
