Current Fishing Report

Those out fishing yesterday reported 2-3 pound bluefish on both baits and lures, black drum, and several slot limit puppy drum on lures and bait, and quite a few other red drum just over the slot size up to 30" on cut baits. Today we have lines of thunderstorms moving through the area, with SW winds starting to gust up, but folks are still going out between showers to try the fishing.
Ethan Davis of Walkerton, VA helped dad reel in a couple of nice bluefish yesterday and came by for his photo. Linda Nilsson of Kernersville, NC shared her photo of a nice black drum from the North end. Emily Myers of Graham, NC also had fun pulling in bluefish and shared her photo with us.
Those out fishing yesterday offshore reported yellowfin tuna, a couple of dolphin, and amberjack while vertical jigging.
