FISHING REPORT ARCHIVERating System:Good fishing: Not so good fishing: Current Fishing Report Sorry for the week between fishing reports, but there hasn't been much to report during a week or so of cloudy north breezes. We had one pretty day yesterday (Thursday), but I did not hear of any big drum being caught. I do know that a couple of guys had some small puppy drum (one keeper). Otherwise, I have only heard about dog sharks since the big drum last week that followed three days of south wind. The good news is that water temps are not falling as low as they were before on a north wind. We seem to be staying in the mid 50's now, anywhere from 52 to 56. And I did hear that it was up to 57 degrees yesterday. Gecko Capt Ernie Doshier reported that 70 degree water was only 10 miles offshore yesterday afternoon. So hopefully the next south or southwest will get things cooking. Meanwhile, Melinda and I have been very busy even though there has not been much fishing. We have been redesigning the product layouts and making room for all the fun fishing stuff. Have fun fishing! Alan Kaitlyn and Tyler of Newport, NC were very excited when they came by with their dogsharks earlier in the week. Melinda Rating: |
