Update: Ike Riddick just stopped in and reported that there were a couple of puppy drum caught late yesterday, so hopefully the pretty weather today will get things going a little earlier.
Current Fishing Report

Nothing to report from the surf, at least not yet. The cold weather early in the week really cooled the water down. Yesterday morning the water temperature started around 50 degrees and made it up to around 53 or so by afternoon. But we need it a couple of degrees warmer before we can expect the fish to get active. Last week's puppy drum bite was turned on by water temp's reaching 55 degrees. With the pretty weather today I am hopeful that we'll something good to report later.
Although the pretty weather hasn't yet gotten the surf tempertures up, it did allow Captain Farris ONeal to get the charter boat Drumstick out for another great day on Thursday. Russell Williams had a nice blackfin tuna, while Farris and Lenny show off nice wahoo. In addition, they had a number of nice king mackerel.
The weather is beautiful this morning, so maybe it will warm the water up a couple more degrees.
Have fun fishing!
Alan
