Current Fishing Report

With very few folks here on the island in general right now, there are even fewer out on the beach. Those few that are out have enjoyed beaches to themselves for the most part with small to slot limit size puppy drum caught on lures and shrimp, and black drum caught on shrimp and squid.
Lori Moffitt of High Point, NC visiting for the first time to Ocracoke and surf fishing, caught this 23" puppy drum and another one later on. Mike Culler also reported that Tina Culler from High Point caught a 24" puppy drum, just don't have the photo of that one for you. Mary Dean of Ocracoke has been catching small puppy drum this morning on lures. Thanks for sharing the photo Mike.
