There are only a few folks here on the island currently, but the few that are out on the beach fishing the past two days have found nice catches of black drum, several puppy drum, and blowtoads. Rain came through yesterday evening and kicked up the wind this morning, but hopefully this will die down later this afternoon.
Eddie and Lynette Dixon of Graham, NC caught black drum on shrimp Wednesday and again on Thursday while fishing the beach. Larry and Carol Johnson of Snow Camp, NC caught puppy drum an black drum Wednesday and then found more on Thursday before the rain came. Earlier in the week, Peter Van Deman of Marshall, VA also caught black drum but we were unable to retrieve his photo.
