We have light rains falling this morning and we are expecting heavier ones to follow later on today. Those out fishing yesterday reported quite a few black drum, puppy drum, a couple of flounder, a few speckled trout, small bluefish, and blowtoads.
Abby Blankenship of Urbanna,VA came by the store for a photo of her bluefish that she caught on shrimp. Matt Marshall of Richmond, VA caught a 17" flounder on Gulp bait yesterday and brought his fish in. Edwin Nichols of Youngsville, NC shared his photos of a nice black drum and puppy drum from yesterday. Mike Lacorte of Kinston, NC
shared his photo of a black drum he caught. Rebecca Nichols of Youngsville, NC had a puppy drum yesterday and shared her picture with us also. Thirteen-year-old William McEntee of Chapel Hill, NC caught a really nice 10 pound puppy drum measuring 26.5" on shrimp Thursday and shared his photo with us. Christopher Bass of Burlington, NC shared his photos with us of a nice 19" flounder and black drum that he caught while on the beach with his family.
