We have a beautiful day here on Ocracoke with calm winds and sunny skies. Those out on the beach are reporting numerous catches of black drum, several puppy drum, a few speckled trout, a few sea mullets, small bluefish, and blowtoads.
Sam Cosnotti of Roanoke, VA and Jeff Gross of Ocracoke, NC catch small puppy drum and a coolerful of black drum yesterday. Kenny Childers of Clover, SC brought a 6.5 pound black drum by the shop for a quick photo yesterday. Nelson and Teresa Adams of Ocracoke, NC stopped by Wednesday afternoon with a few nice black drum also. Evan Graham of Salem, VA caught a puppy drum, some small bluefish, a black drum and a few blowtoads while out on Wednesday and shared his photo with us. Chris McGee of Camden, NC had a 24" puppy drum and several more on Wednesday. Mike and Carson Herndon of Salisbury, NC and Don and JT Outlaw of Trinity, NC went out yesterday on their boat "Knot A Clue" and caught a citation 53 lb wahoo and a nice dolphin.
