Those out on the beach yesterday and today found black drum, sea mullets, mostly small flounder with a few keeper sized, small to medium bluefish, and several slot sized puppy drum.
Mike Sizemore of Candler, NC came by last night with his 3 pound flounder. Eugene Bridges of Raleigh, NC shared his photo of a 24" puppy drum from yesterday. Bill Boyd of Stacy, NC and Butch Bryan of Ocracoke, NC went out yesterday (Sunday) and each caught a nice 24" puppy drum. Alan and I went out with the kids yesterday afternoon for a little while and caught numerous sea mullets and black drum with the kids- all which were released per the children's order.
Rick Mayes of Roanoke, VA and Keith Elliot of Blueridge, VA went on a "Rascal" charter with Capt Norman Miller yesterday and caught several citation red drum over 51 and 52 inches and shared their photos with us. Capt Norman Miller also shared photos of his Saturday charter on the "Rascal". Anthony Whitehurst of Virginia Beach, VA, Bill Hall of Blossom, VA, and Claude Bain of Virginia Beach, VA, all caught citation red drum over 50" while fishing on the the "Rascal".
