With rain falling throughout the day yesterday, the beach did not have as many fishermen on it. But the fish don't care if is it raining, so those out fishing still found puppy drum, bluefish, some flounder, sea mullets, a few grey trout, and we heard of a couple of large drum lost in the surf.
Bob Rehnlund of Cary, NC caught and released several drum yesterday and came by for a photo of a 24" puppy drum. Kris Pedersen of Manasses, VA shared his photo yesterday of a nice 35" red drum from the beach. Lynette Dixon of Graham, NC shared her photo of a 13.5" grey trout from Friday afternoon. Tim Kennedy of Sanford, NC shared photos of his 21" puppy drum and his 28" released red drum from Thursday with us. Matt DeCarlo of Wilmington, NC came by yesterday for his photo of a nice 25" puppy drum.Michael Flantos of Lumberton, NC had a nice size 17" flounder Friday evening and a 27" puppy drum. Mark Faulk also of Lumberton, NC had a 26" puppy drum Friday evening. Greg Boyd of Chantilly, VA caught a 22.5" puppy drum on the beach and came by the store for a photo. Greg and Adren Rigdon of Wake Forest, NC went out with Capt Norman Miller on Friday and shared some of their photos of the large red drum that they caught and released inshore.
