Those out fishing the beach yesterday and this morning have reported sea mullets, bluefish, flounder, a few black drum, puppy drum up to 30", and several large drum at night.
Gene Winberg of Greensboro, NC shared his photo of bluefish yesterday. David Gericke of King, NC had a 17" flounder yesterday and shared his photo yesterday afternoon. Dave Purser of Marshville, NC also had a nice flounder yesterday and stopped by for his photo. Eddie Dixon of Graham, NC had a 24" puppy drum and shared his photo with us. "Clubfoot" and "Fishface" of Pittsboro, NC had a catch of bluefish yesterday. Frances Lindquist of Hudson, NC had a puppy drum Tuesday and shared her photo on the way home. Ron Moyer of Quantico, VA had 24" puppy drum and came by the shop yesterday. Ed Stepps of Dumfries, VA also had a 24" puppy drum and stopped by for the photo. Fred Graves of Burlington, NC shared his puppy drum photo on his way home. Murdock and John McLaurin, Kris Singletary, and James Munger of Laurinburg, NC went out on a "Fish Tale " charter with Captain John Ferrara yesterday and caught puppy drum, sea mullets, and trout. They had such nice photos of the lighthouse in the background, I collected a few photos for the website. John McLaurin had an impressive 46" red drum as well. Rob Green of Westminster, MD, Danny Ganjon, and Gene Mack went out with Capt. Norman Miller of "Rascal" on Wednesday and caught amberjack, triggerfish, and snapper. Rob Green had a citation 55" amberjack.
Inshore reports include puppy drum, large drum, trout, sea mullets, and flounder.
