Fishing Report
The fishing report from the beach today included numerous small to medium bluefish, sea mullets, an occaisonal pompano, small flounder, some black drum, and a couple of puppy drum.
Annie Rippers of Chattanooga, TN becomes the leader on the kid's derby for her 7 lb 13 oz black drum caught back on the sound in a private boat today. Logan Belcastro of Greensboro, NC had a nice 20" bluefish caught in the surf on shrimp. Gregory Shuey of Holly Springs, NC had a citation 2 lb 5 oz pompano today. John Chamberlain of Wallingford, CT becomes our new derby leader for his 2 lb 6 oz sea mullet he caught on a sand flea yesterday afternoon. Rick and Diana McAllister and Al Dager, all of Smyrma, DE each had a puppy drum and several sea mullets Wednesday and shared their photo with us.
Doug Ballon of Gillette, NJ shared his photo of a nice pupppy drum from Tuesday with us. Ethan Peiffer of Doylestown, PA went out on a "Rascal" charter and caught a 54" barracuda Tuesday and shared his photo. Gary Shockey of Boone, NC went out on a "Miss Kathleen" charter and caught puppy drum Wednesday inshore. Michelle Daniels of Washington, NC went offshore and caught amberjack and dolphin yesterday afternoon. Tim and Val Pizzino of Massillon, OH went on a "Miss Kathleen" charter yesterday and caught large amberjack. Andy and Lindsay Orr of Lancaster, PA went on a "Devereux" charter yesterday and caught African pompano yesterday afternoon and shared their photos.
