Go to http://www.CapeHatterasAPA.com/ for current info! ![]() Fishing Report We have another beautiful sunny and hot day here in Ocracoke with fairly calm winds. The reports from the beach include nice catches of puppy drum, sea mullets, numerous small bluefish, some pompano, croakers, and flounder. Jim and Tom Lobell of Oella, MD came by at eight this morning with two nice puppy drum they just had caught off the beach. Duncan Robertson and Ewan Gillion both of Dunfermline Fife in Scotland caught pompano and bluefish while out yesterday afternoon. Justin Fiedler of Mays Landing, NJ had a nice 27" puppy drum yesterday as well. Hunter Morgan of Summerfield, NC and Cody and Austin Boswell of Brown Summit, NC caught quite a few sea mullet yesterday and shared their photo with us. Carson Herndon of Salisbury, NC and Hunter Spruill of Plymouth, NC went out fishing with the "Ancient Mariners" on their boat and caught bluefish and spanish mackerel inshore. George Atkinson and Fred Cousins both of Richmond, VA went out with Capt Norman Miller of the "Rascal". They caught and released a 20 lb African pompano and a 25 lb barracuda Wednesday afternooon. Sarah Bailey of New Bern, NC came by this morning with a couple of croakers that were just a little short of the kid's derby. Bill Hollis of Baltimore, MD went out yesterday on a "Rascal" charter and came by with his 32 lb cobia. Inshore reports include numerous spanish mackerel and bluefish,as well as some flounder and puppy drum. Have fun fishing! Melinda Rating: |
