Fishing Report
The weather is unbelievable! Sunny and warm, little breezes yesterday and this morning- but just too pretty for surf fishing. The water has been flat and clear. The reports from the beach are small and medium sized bluefish, nice sheepshead, sea mullet, a few pompano, and smaller sharks.
Inshore and offshore reports are great with the beautiful weather. Inshore we have reports of lots of spanish mackerel, cobia, puppy drum, and bluefish. Offshore we have reports of dolphin, wahoo, marlin, triggerfish.
Karrie Branch of Alexandria, VA was using shrimp on the beach yesterday and caught a nice 8 pound sheepshead.
Tom and Jim Lobell of Odella, MD brought by their 27# dolphin caught while out on the "Gecko" charter with Capt Ernie Doshier to become our new derby leaders. Beck McLamb of Benson, NC brought by a nice 20# cobia caught inshore on Sunday. Jason Daniels of Ocracoke, NC brought in his citation 45# cobia also.
Thanks so much for the photos!
Have fun fishing!
Melinda
