Fishing Report
Even with the rain showers yesterday and early this morning, those folks who were out on the beach caught numerous large bluefish and puppy drum using finger mullet, spots, mullet, and menhaden.
Charlie and Brett Young of Fairfax,VA stopped by yesterday on their way home to land on the adult derby board for bluefish. Dan James of Waynesville, NC shared his photo yesterday of a 35" bluefish. Linda Rippe of Ocracoke, NC had a beautiful bluefish about 10-11# yesterday that she released. Nic Piland also of Ocracoke had a 10# 10oz bluefish yesterday afternoon. Kentucky Steve of Shelbyville, KY shared his fish photos of puppy drum and bluefish. Steve Martin of Swansboro, NC had a nice bluefish yesterday on the beach. Dan and Vicki James of Waynesville, NC came back by with 13 bluefish for their photo. Troy Croom of Berlin, MD stopped by with his 8.75# bluefish caught on mullet. Larry Bennett of Fuquay Varina, NC shared his photo of his 28" puppy drum from yesterday. Cory Yoder of Hickory, NC came in this morning as the new adult derby board leader for his 12# 11oz bluefish.
