Surf fishing reports for the past few days include puppy drum on lures and bait, bluefish, and numerous dog sharks.The weather has been beautiful-hard to believe we are at the end of December.
Roc Carter of Olivia, NC had a nice puppy drum on finger mullet. Rick and Amy Mayes of Roanoke, VA caught and released several puppy drum and shared a couple of photos with us. John and Norma McCracken of Burnsville, NC released a 28" drum but kept these two puppy drum. They found a nice spot catching and releasing a total of 8 puppy drum. Matt Pittman of Ocracoke, NC had a nice 25" puppy drum on a Gulp grub on Thursday afternoon as well.
