Surf fishing reports for yesterday and today have improved to include puppy drum on bait and lures, though not in the numbers as before the blow, small bluefish up to 18", and of course, dog sharks and skates.
The weather warmed up today to 52 degrees and the winds calmed and came from the south west this afternoon. We are expecting this trend to continue for several days. One of the commerical guys reported over 30 stripers in his net to us today so it seems that the weather has helped move the fish this way.
Brant Massey of Durham, NC came by this morning with a nice puppy drum that he caught on bait yesterday.
