The past couple of days we have had heavy periods of rain and a sloppy surf with foam. Even so, those out fishing, found short puppy drum on cut bait and lures, plenty of small bluefish, speckled trout on lures,a few flounder, dogsharks and skates. The rain has cleared up and it is cooler, but it is expected to be a beautiful fall day.
Anne Hardison of Atlantic Beach emailed her photo to us of her 26" puppy drum that she caught on the way back home from the holiday.
With the rainy weather, we have not heard of much fishing inshore or offshore.
