Surf fishing reports for today include puppy drum, sea mullets, black drum, bluefish,and skates. Quite a few fish were caught, but the wind was tough for those out fishing.
Jeff Gross of Ocracoke, NC had a nice puppy drum this afternoon. Dean White of Graham, NC had a couple of successful days- both yesterday and today with his first puppy drum.Ken Myers and Ernest Moore, both of Burlington had a nice catch of bluefish early this morning while it was still cold out. Eric Lanser of Blackwood, NJ had a 24" puppy drum yesterday afternoon. Randy Barrow of Ocracoke, NC has found a little spot for puppy drum this past week. REX of Richmond, VA had a 25" puppy drum on cut bait yesterday afternoon.
Mary Dean of Ocracoke, NC caught a false albacore from the beach yesterday - but no photo-sorry.
