Surf fishing reports for today include puppy drum, bluefish, and black drum.
Beautiful fall weather today, birds migrating in, schools of baitfish off the beaches- I think I will try to head out myself tomorrow. It is expected to turn cooler this weekend with breezes out of the North.
Harvey and Jonathan Garrett of Durham, NC had a good time catching puppy drum on gold Hopkins this afternoon. Capt Ronnie O'Neal of the "Miss Kathleen" shared his photo of Ralph and Linda Whiteman of Winchester,KY with their catch of king mackerel yesterday afternoon. Maureen Klause of Ocean City, NJ went out with Capt Earnie Doshier of "Drum Runner" to land a 42.5# red drum on 6# test, just missing the IGFA record, several drum on 4# test, and a potential IGFA record of a 44# red drum on 80# test for women today.
