Surf fishing reports for today include plenty of bluefish, puppy drum, black drum, scattered sea mullets, a few speckled trout, and some flounder. The winds have been out of the North and are expected to turn out of the SW tomorrow for really beautiful weather.
Sara Warren of Ocracoke, NC had a nice puppy drum on mullet this afternoon. Sheila McNamee and Tim Ward of Wilmington, NC had their limit of puppy drum, plenty of bluefish, and a nice black drum this afternoon. Joe Canel of Butler, PA had another puppy drum this afternoon. Lester Smith of Lincolnton, NC had a 24" puppy drum this morning. Randall Allen of Virginia Beach released a 28" puppy drum this afternoon. Paul Gordon of Virginia Beach, VA had a 23" puppy drum and Brad Thornton also of Virginia Beach had a 21" black drum this afternoon. Larry Brush of Seaford, VA had a nice black drum this afternoon. Steve Bass of Durham had a nice puppy drum on mullet yesterday afternoon. Ike Riddick, Jr of Raleigh, NC had a 27" puppy drum yesterday also.
