Don't forget your coastal fishing license!

Surf fishing reports for today have dropped off a little, with some folks heading out before our winds pick up this evening. The reports though are still good for puppy drum, sea mullets, bluefish, croaker, spot, and a few larger red drum. Even though it is raining offshore now, we just have partly cloudy skies and light wind out of the NE. We are expecting some stronger NE winds later this evening and tomorrow with little rain but then it should settle back down by the evening after Noel passes on.
Herb Kimrey of Carolina Beach, NC had a citation 48" red drum yesterday afternoon. Justin Presnell of Climax,NC had a nice puppy drum on mullet. Dennis McGirl of Germantown, MD also had a puppy drum on mullet. Mitch Coleman of Southern Pines, NC caught his puppy drum on shrimp. Charles Parks of Climax, NC takes over as our derby leader for his 2# 4oz croaker caught on mullet. Kevin and Roger Campbell of Grottoes, VA shared their photos of their citation drum from Monday with us. Bert Clark of Ocracoke, NC caught a great speckled trout on a Mirrolure from his boat yesterday afternoon. Capt Ronnie O'Neal of the "Miss Kathleen" shared his photo of a 1/2 day charter with Jean and Morris Harway of Oak Island, NC and their king mackerel yesterday.
Thanks for sharing your photos and have fun fishing!
Melinda
