Well with the cool North winds blowing the past two days, we are finally feeling like the fall here. The fall fishermen in waders and boots are turning up to try the fishing and heading out. The surf fishing yesterday was slow, but we did hear of nice puppy drum, a large 40" drum, and some bluefish.
Ed Cleveland of Earlysville, VA had some nice fish sound side on a grub Saturday in between the rain with small flounder, spot, and a nice puppy drum. Bill Coble of Burlington, NC sent his photo of his citation 52.5" red drum while fishing on the "Rascal" last week.
And since the rain has stopped, we are filling in our "mullet holes" in the parking lot and puting down a ton of dirt and gravel.
