Surf fishing today was tough with the heavy rain throughout the day. There was some few breaks mid morning and those that fished during that time, we heard of quite a few pompano, sea mullets, and small bluefish. Early in the morning there were a few large drum caught before the rain started. Hopefully there will be a break in the rain tomorrow and we can see some of these fishermen out on the beach.
Mark Austin of Charlotte, NC had a nice 35" red drum early this morning. Tommy Parris of Randleman, NC released a 29" red drum caught on mullet yesterday evening as well.
Inshore was tough also with the rain- but I have to give credit to the commerical guys- they went out and got us some mullet this afternoon!
