FISHING REPORT ARCHIVERating System:Good fishing: Not so good fishing: Don't forget your coastal fishing license! Surf fishing reports continue to get better as folks come in with reports of big drum in the evening and morning, numerous bluefish, pompano, and sea mullets. We also have reports of grey trout and spots. Joseph Marino of Manassas, VA had a 43" drum last evening on bunker. Adrian Carper of Ramseur, NC had a 48" drum on mullet this morning. Dave Weinstein of Rockville, MD had two 44" drum last evening. Ned Deitrick of Rockville, MD had a 39" drum on his first trip down here fishing. Carey Auto Shop of Granite Falls, NC had some fun on the beach catching a couple of puppy drum with mullet yesterday afternoon. Travis Lingerfelt of Hudson, NC had a nice puppy drum on mullet. Steve Ledford of Holly Springs, NC had a nice 24" puppy drum this morning on mullet. Pete Neal of Greenville, SC also had a 24" puppy drum this morning. Dennis Joyner of Rocky Mount, NC stopped by for a photo of his puppy drum from yesterday this morning. Gary Ray of Burlington, NC used mullet to catch his puppy drum yesterday afternoon. Gene of Warrenton, VA brought by his photo of a 26" puppy drum caught on mullet yesterday. Judy and Chuck Saunders of Ocracoke, NC had their limit of grey trout today out on their boat with the largest at 3.5 pounds. More photos came in later this afteroon that we will post tommorrow of large drum and puppy drum. Wayne Belch took out a charter and caught puppy drum inshore today, there was also grey trout, large drum, and some speckled trout reported. Have fun fishing! Melinda Rating: |
