Don't forget your coastal fishing license!

Surf fishing conditions have gotten a little rougher today, so those who like the summertime fishing are having a harder time keeping the bait out in the water, but we have heard of more puppy drum being caught and larger sized bluefish like you would expect in October. We also have reports of pompano, sea mullet, flounder and a few speckled trout scattered down the beach.
Thomas Wolosuk of Yale, VA had a nice 24" puppy drum today. Jordy Carter of Whitsett, NC caught a great trout on mullet yesterday afternoon from the beach. The Kelley's of Dryden, VA had luck yesterday evening and early this morning with 14 bluefish and a couple of drum. Justin Allison of Hickory, NC got to Ocracoke last evening and went out on the beach and caught a nice drum to start his vacation. Lynn Maurer of Berlin, MD had a nice 2# 5oz flounder Wednesday afternoon. Marion Fontana of Ocracoke, NC went out on Jason's "Peace of Mind" and caught a nice speckled trout and puppy drum in the sound yesterday.
Have fun fishing!
Melinda
