Surf fishing reports for today improved with some reduced problems with the grass and great catches of 26" to 32" drum mid-day. Pompano, some flounder, sea mullet, and spot also were caught.
Steve Harker of Shelbyville, KY had a 27" and 30" drum as well as a keeper flounder this afternoon. Ned Bull of Kernersville, NC had a 26" puppy drum earlier this morning on mullet. Cheryl Phillips of Hardeeville, SC also had a nice puppy drum on spot. Logan Phillips of Hardeeville, SC had a 15" flounder and becomes our new derby leader of the kid's board for his 8 oz spot caught on shrimp. Nick Piland of Ocracoke had a nice flounder yesterday afternoon. Scott Tyson of Charlotte, NC and Rob Burns of Pittsboro, NC finally shared their photos of some nice drum from Sunday late night. Each had a nice citation and puppy drum for the evening.
