FISHING REPORT ARCHIVERating System:Good fishing:  Not so good fishing:  Don't forget your coastal fishing license!    Tough fishing in the surf today with the NE winds gusting up to 22 mph and stirring up the grass. But those fishing did report catches of sea mullet and bluefish. The South end has been better as far as the grass goes since yesterday. The finger mullet were back on the beach yesterday afternoon and this morning so the bluefish were hanging around the schools. Still no big drum in the surf but waiting for any day.... Jana Green of Nashville, NC had a nice bluefish caught on mullet yesterday afternoon. Ken Myers and Don Bullis of Burlington, NC finished up a great week of fishing with bluefish, sea mullets, and spots. Jacob Floyd of Ocracoke, NC had a nice flounder and speckled trout Friday evening from the North end of the island before the winds turned to the NE. Thanks for the photos! Have fun fishing!
