Surf fishing reports for today included bluefish scattered up and down the beach, several puppy drum, sea mullets, spots, and pompano.
Kris Shelhorse of Ruther Glen, VA had a great 27" puppy drum this afternoon. Sandra Green of Marston, NC had her first puppy drum this morning and stopped by the store for a photo.
Neal Drakage, Cory Edwards, and John Ericson all had 22" puppy drum yesterday evening caught on cut mullet. Ken Myers and Don Bullis of Burlington, NC had a very busy day yesterday of bluefish in the surf in the afternoon and a morning of bluefish and spanish mackerel with Capt. Earnie Doshier. Sara Seawright and Jennifer Esham of Ocracoke's new "Blue Heron Realty" had a great catch of citation size pompano inshore yesterday.
Inshore reports from Capt. Albert O'Neal included 18 puppy drum in a half day charter and numerous spanish mackerel from Capt. Norman Miller.
