Surf fishing reports for today include plenty of bluefish, some spanish mackerel, a few pompano, several puppy drum, and sea mullets.
Scott Woody, Jim Haynes, and Tucker Beaumont had a fun time this morning catching spanish on pink and silver lures. This was Scott's first spanish mackerel and they are trying again in the morning.David Bagwell of Myrtle Beach, SC had some nice bluefish on finger mullet. Justin Francis who is celebrating his 18th birthday had a nice bluefish earlier today and is trying for the big fish tonight. The Johnson, Rich, and Dove families of Cyress Creek, NC had a great afternoon yesterday with puppy drum, sea mullets, pompano and a flounder. Tucker Beaumont of Bent Mountain had his first spanish mackerel yesterday using a surf dart and headed back out this morning for some more.
Inshore we have heard of a couple of puppy drum and bluefish.
