Sorry guys- too many photos has caused my report to hang up. This is part 2 -other photos are in fishing reports archives.I will post as many as I can here now and in other batchs until they are all posted.
Surf fishing was nice through the evening last night and then the weather turned a little too pretty and the fishing dropped off today.
Some nice drum were caught and released last night by members of our message board- 12 Rods, Iron Will, Young Fisherman,Gene Austin, and Saltwater Cowboy. Other drum caught yesterday were brought in by David Compton of Black Mountain,Brian Hyndes of Canada,Dwight Kinnison of Buckeye,WV,Horce Avery of Clinton,NC,Mike Lucas of New Bern and Joey Haddock of New Bern,NC. Bob Thomas of Lowesville NC also had a nice drum.
Joe Phillips of Hickory,NC became our new Derby Board Leader with his citation speckled trout.
Tracy Whisnant had a nice citation flounder. Derek Foster of Toronto came in with his drum,and Fred Brown of Murrells Inlet,SC posed with his drum.
Alan Morris shared by email his photos of a great fishing trip so far this week from the beach. The Mesaage Board group shared their photo of Flytier with his drum this past week.
We also had Charlie Frye of Lexington,NC pose with his citation cobia caught in the inlet.Robert Franklin of Arden,NC had a citation wahoo that he posed with this afternoon.
Hope the fishing picks back up this evening- I know there are quite a few folks out on the beach.
