Not so good fishing:

Surf fishing remains slower than we'd like, but there are still some nice fish being caught. Graham Hegameyer from Charleston, SC landed a citation 42" Red Drum last night, and Nick Perry from New York, NY caught a nice 6-1/2 lb puppy drum. Others reported some bluefish and spanish mackerel action on lures.

Inshore remains some of the best action, with cobia, flounder, puppy drum, black drum, sea mullets, and speckled trout being reported. Rebekah and MaryAnn Brown from Whitakers, NC brought in some nice fish, the Hakuna Makata crew (Ed & Erma Senft, along with Brenda, Mark, & Bob Blecher from York, PA) did great with black drum, and Donnie Lee from Dunn, NC caught a nice puppy drum and a cooler full of sea mullets (now a derby leader).

Unable to get an offshore report - storm blowing up probably has the crew at teh Anchorage heading for cover.

Have fun fishing.
