Not so good fishing:

Surf fishing was tricky today due to the wind. With all the predictions of bad weather it was still fishable - I took Dylan out for a couple of hours on the beach today and a 6oz sinker held bottom OK. But it wasn't exactly fun and I didn't see anyone else trying. We did get some nice pictures of fish from yesterday: Edward Everette from Greenville NC with a 25lb cobia, and Mike and Carrie Baker from Wilson NC with a 26-3/4" puppy drum on their honeymoon. I also heard that there was a good spanish mackerel bite this morning for a few folks that made it out early.

Inshore we have some nice pictures of gray trout, sea mullets, flounder, and puppy drum from yesterday. Zack Richards from Ayden NC brought in a nice gray trout, and Tyler and Dakota Minto from Irwin PA caught trout, sea mullets, and flounder. Next we have the pictures from yesterday's great puppy drum action found by Jason Daniels with his crew from Vass, NC: Mike Cameron, Russel Jackson, and Ken Skipper.

Offshore was shut down due to teh weather. Hopefully, conditions might improve enough by tomorrow to get a report.

Have fun fishing.
