FISHING REPORT ARCHIVERating System:Good fishing: Not so good fishing: Although surf fishing reports slowed yesterday, we got a great report from Jerry Morgan of Capt St Clair, MD that he caught a 32" Red Drum. We also got reports of scattered sea mullets and bluefish (Bob & Nancy had the best sea mullet catch reported). Offshore action was great. Pictured above is William Hocutt, Ocracoke, with a 56# wahoo caught aboard the Devereaux. Capt Ernie Doshier had a tremendous catch on the Gecko yesterday; 488#'s of tuna and wahoo. Recreational boat anglers reported sea mullets and trout inshore. The weather is prettier than expected. But with the great dry weather the beach sand is very soft - a few folks had to work through potentially getting stuck the last couple of days. Please lower your tire air pressure to reduce the chances of problems. Good luck and have fun. Alan Rating: |
