FISHING REPORT ARCHIVERating System:Good fishing:  Not so good fishing:      The surf fishing Saturday and Sunday produced some pompano, black drum, sheepshead, flounder, bluefish, spanish mackerel and sea mullet. It wasn't fast and furious but that could change any time now. The sound/inlet fishing by boat was a different story. "Two Toms" boat did well with speckled trout and others caught a goodly amount of gray trout, blues and flounder. The biggest news was the inlet was full of red drum. Byron Miller of Ocracoke said he left them biting yesterday afternoon around 4 p.m. The biggest we heard of caught was 50-1/2"... Offshore did well with dolphin, tuna, wahoo.
